God’s grace meets our faithlessness EVERYTIME! Without fail, love like an avalanche covers us, meeting us in the midst of our trouble.
God sees our needs, and hears our cries, remembers His promises; to bring us to victory, restoring us to Himself.
He created us for relationship with Him. Generation after generation He has loved us, called to us, and waited for us to come walk with Him.
What needs do you need met? What have you cried out, hoping someone would hear?
The God who sees you and knows you has been waiting to show you the Way.
“Choosing to trust in God’s unfailing love will carry you through the other side to victory.” – Brian Houston
When you face a dead-end, don’t focus on what you can’t do. Focus instead on what God can do.
Romans 4:17 says, “Abraham believed in the God who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing” (NLT, second edition).
There are two things God does that you can’t do: He can give life to the dead, and he can create something out of nothing.
It wasn’t just positive thinking that Abraham believed in. I recommend positive thinking, because what’s the alternative? Negative thinking doesn’t work. But positive thinking is not faith. They are two very different things. Positive thinking works fine in situations you have control over.
But in situations that are out of your control, positive thinking is worthless. It’s just wishful thinking. It doesn’t change the situation. When you face things that are out of your control, you need something more than a positive mental attitude. You need faith in God, because he can control it when you can’t. Most of life is beyond your control, so you need faith far more than you need positive thinking.
The Bible says in Luke 18:27, “What is impossible with man is possible with God” (NIV). God specializes in the impossible. It’s called a miracle, and he can do it in your life! He is ready to turn your dead-end into deliverance.
There are many things in life we can’t control.
The weather, time, other people…
One lasting truth to give eternal hope amidst the (occasional) chaos, is our Unstoppable God.
2 Timothy 2:13 says, “if we are unfaithful, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny who He is.”
His love for us is Unstoppable. When life feels out of control, when we feel out of control, God is perfectly in control. He is Unstoppable in faithfulness and enduring love.
We all have hopes and dreams for the future.
As Friday ends this work week, and you find your way to some down and recoop time, I hope you think about your dreams for the future. Without fear of failing or disappoinment. Really take time and dream big and ask big!
God can handle the BIG dreams!
Find someone to share your dream with and pray with you for it.
Three benefits of telling others about your dream:
1. It gets you started. Once you’ve announced it, you’re accountable to try and get moving.
2. It attracts other people’s support. The moment I stated my dream, other people wanted to get in on it. A dream from God will attract people that you don’t even know yet to help you.
3. It releases God’s power. Because of your faith, you step out of the boat and start walking on water. God will hold you up!
*Note for the Bigger Picture: When thinking through your dream, ask yourself who else it will impact. Is this something that only benefits you? If so how can you alter it, even just a little, to include blessing others?
“But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.”
Acts of the Apostles 20:24 NLT
God’s Dream for Your Life: Rick Warren
Ever feel life is abnormally ordinary, or mundane?
“Surviving” Monday though Friday and only living for the weekend?
Seeing neighbors and friends “living the American Dream”, while you budget like nobody else?
God’s Dream for your life is Higher, Greater, and will outlast the fleeting fancies of any American Dream.
Following God’s Dream also means waiting and trusting God’s Time.
Only God can take the ordinary and make it Extraordinary, turning the mundane into the Magnificent.
